ABOUT ME

Veronica Sesana Grajales

Veronica Sesana Grajales is an art advisor and independent curator with over a decade of experience in the contemporary art world. She founded Eclectico, a boutique art advisory dedicated to guiding both new and seasoned collectors in building intentional, dynamic collections. Her advisory work is rooted in a curatorial approach that emphasizes research, long-term vision, and meaningful engagement with artists—especially those who are emerging, overlooked, experimental, socially engaged, or from the Global South. Veronica works closely with collectors to provide tailored guidance that includes market analysis, introductions to new and relevant artists, and insight into the creative process behind the work. Her goal is to make collecting an informed, personal, and exciting experience—one that reflects each client’s interests and evolves with them over time.

As a curator, Veronica focuses on the intersection of art, architecture, and socially engaged practices, with an emphasis on contemporary Latin American and Latinx artists. Her curatorial research explores urgent issues such as immigration, climate change, gender equity, and other sociopolitical themes. For her, the relationship between curator and artist is a symbiotic one: rooted in conversation, collaboration, and trust. Studio visits and ongoing dialogue are central to her process, ensuring that each artist’s vision is represented with care and depth. These collaborations often result in exhibitions that offer layered interpretations and provoke new ways of seeing.

Veronica holds a Master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Interior Design from George Washington University. She has held curatorial positions at institutions such as The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (2017–2024), Sullivan Galleries in Chicago (2016–2017), the Art Institute of Chicago (2016), and the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation in Miami (2014). She has also consulted for Pinta Miami and Galería La Cometa.
